President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama has met Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, in San Francisco. This meeting was linked to discuss the role of technology in the economy.
WASHINGTON - President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama has met Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, in San Francisco. This meeting was linked to discuss the role of technology in the economy.
"Obama talked with Jobs about the economics of innovation and technology education," said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, told Reuters on Friday (10/22/2010).
Gibbs who announced it to reporters on board Air Force One also mentioned that the meeting will last approximately 45 minutes. Previously Obama last saw Jobs on the presidential election campaign in 2008.
The meeting was held the day after Jobs launched Apple's new MacBook Air is the notebook computers inspired by iPad tablet device.
In addition to meeting Jobs, Obama is also expected to attend the event in his political party in political fundraising. The event was rumored to be guided by a Google executive Marissa Mayer.
