CALIFORNIA - Yahoo will soon launch a service called 'Connect Y' with an interface similar to Facebook Connect, a portable identity management, which integrate Yahoo content on third-party websites and share data about what users are doing and where users of Yahoo contacts.
These services will share information with your contacts via Yahoo Pulse, thread-like activity stream that was launched to compete with Google's Yahoo Buzz and other social offerings, about four months ago. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Monday (18/10/2010).
Although this news has been leaked but not many details available information related to Y-Connect it. What is known so far is the Y-Connect will help the activities of the advertisers on the internet such as Facebook Connect and the Open Graph do.
Sources said that the Y-Connect will be announced officially this fall, which Yahoo has worked hard for this service. Yahoo recently also has renewed its search feature, although now circulating rumors that America Online (AOL) will buy Yahoo.
Will Y connects will help revitalize Yahoo? Time will tell.
