JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - e-commerce site Plasa.com, a recently developed Telkom, collaborating with service providers of international buying and selling online, eBay, to facilitate the Indonesian producer sells commodities to foreign countries. Cooperation was held in Jakarta on Thursday (10/07/2010).
"We hope with this cooperation, Indonesia could be a lot of products sold abroad," said Shinta Dhanuwardoyo, CEO Plasa.com, on the sidelines of the signing of the MOU Plasa.com and eBay.
The aim of this cooperation is to improve the Indonesian products. According to Shinta, Indonesia has been less local sellers have the means to sell their products more widely. "The goods Indonesia is unique, but they have not had a chance. For that we open the opportunity for them to go international," he said.
Plasa.com will distribute an online Indonesian traders to trade their products through eBay. "If you have a unique product, just click www.plasa.com / ebay.'ll List there as a user. From here we can sell products through eBay to international markets. This we call collaboration, cross border trading," said Andi S Boediman, Chief Innovation Officer Plasa.com.
In this cooperation, through Plasa.com, eBay will also provide consulting services and guidance to Indonesian businessmen. "We will provide consultation to the seller how they define their target market, how to sell goods more broadly," said Andi.
Andi hope that with this cooperation could be used by people to trade more broadly. "Do not be afraid to sell online. I hope Indonesia can go international seller of all," he hoped.
