A number of hackers, who allegedly is a group under the name Anonymous, have hit a number of websites to send a denial of service attack distribution (DDoS) as a form of support to WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange.

Distribution denial of service attack that the perpetrator is an attempt to make a computer resource or location in a network are not accessible to other users, so that disrupt service.
Distributed denial of service attacks, such as that waged against the sites above, utilizing a distributed computer network, often in the form of a botnet, to conduct these attacks.
At Symantec Security Response is currently not seeing evidence of a large number of botnets that are used in the attack. So that was quoted by official statement on Monday (13/12/2010).
Attack toolkit has been available free on the Internet and this attack appears to have originated from one of the tool kit attack. Specifically, Symantec believes these attacks are sent from a toolkit known as Loic (Low Orbit Ion Cannon).
"This is not a specific attack complex; however, the attack is a challenge for organizations / companies that become targets," says Symantec's party.
