Famous jazz musician James Moody dies because of cancer
LOS ANGELES ( ANTARA / Reuters ) - U.S. famous jazz saxophonist, James Moody, who skyrocketed because of the work of improvisation "Moody's Mood for Love", has died at the age of 85 years, in San Diego after 10 months of battling cancer.
James Moody died on Thursday (9 / 12) after being treated since the beginning of the week at San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative, Linda Moody, wife of musician, said on his website.
"I am grateful for the honor to be a wife of this wonderful man for almost 22 years. I learned a lot from the guy who's cute, friendly and good," Linda Moody said.
Born in Georgia and raised in New Jersey, James soared to become one of America's greatest jazz musicians. He has appeared with Dizzy Gillaspie, Lionel Hampton and BB King.
He has also been nominated four times Grammy Awards, the highest award for the American music industry.
James Moody began recording in the late 1940s after serving in the U.S. military during World War II, and he continued to make songs and perform on stage until the 2000s.
He controls the game like any tenor saxophone and alto flute. James Moody became very famous after composing the song in the 1930s "I` m in the Mood for Love "to" Moody's Mood for Love ". He has produced more than 60 albums.
