That is one of five forecasts of the investigators International Business Machines (IBM) Corp.. Some other ideas is a battery technology that can 'breathe', which only need to interact with the environment to collect kinetic energy. Moreover, they predict that innovation will be developed is a computer program that can show when and where congestion occurs, information systems environment through sensors installed in cars and cell phones, and the use of the power source from the blast of hot server computer.
The predictions are part of an annual tradition which surveyed 3000 IBM researchers to find the five ideas that technology can be applied in the next five years. For the largest computer services provider in the world like IBM, it is not a mere speculation. They are one of the few companies that invest in research projects long term. IBM has a research center in Almaden Research Center in San Jose, California.
"The list is open the window for development of IBM's innovation engine," said Josephine Cheng, Vice President IBM Almaden lab. IBM to invest 5.8 billion dollars for research and development last year. That number represents 6.1 percent of IBM revenue.
