Need Creativity Development of Oral Tradition
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian Association of Oral Tradition successfully accredited internationally by UNESCO to be a partner in maintaining the cultural heritage objects not. UNESCO awarded this honor to be a challenge for Indonesia to maintain and develop the culture of Nusantara oral and contribute internationally.
Chairman of Association of Oral Tradition (ATL) prudentia MPSS in Jakarta, Tuesday (14/12/2010), said UNESCO's decision to menggadeng ATL become partners in the preservation and rescue of cultural heritage objects not or safeguarding of the intangible cultural announced at a meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, last November.
ATL will play a role in assisting UNESCO in Indonesia and internationally to preserve the culture in this hemisphere. Deputy Minister of National Education Fasli Jalal said, the research and expertise of the oral tradition is very rich Indonesia, which it needs to be copied and then written and recorded in order to become a multimedia cultural richness of Indonesia.
"This is a chance also to develop the Indonesian research and put it in scientific publications," said Fasli.
The study also developed an oral tradition. The Government provides scholarships S2 and S3 for this study at home and abroad. According Fasli, oral tradition can also be developed in local content in the school. ATL asked to be prepared curriculum.
"In addition, the culture of oral tradition can be used to enrich the educational character of the nation's children," said Fasli.
