Award as the world cultural heritage, he said, showed that the I La Galigo not only be a people of South Sulawesi, but also the international community.
"No one can deny that I La Galigo is a huge historical legacy, both in the context of culture, history, literature and human values," he said.
According to him, proposing I La Galigo to be one of the world cultural heritage is very important in the era of creative economy and cultural industries are also growing.
He added that the culture must also be managed as mine eye could add to treasure life of the community.
"Moreover, I La Galigo itself can be regarded as cultural products that could be a means of developing the values and character of the nation," he explained.
I La Galigo the nomination process, he said, have been started since two years ago, and submitted through scientific dialogue with the Memory of the Word (MOW) Unesco.
Results of scientific dialogue is submitted to the national level and then submitted again to the international level.
"I La Galigo itself is one of the cultural heritage diusukan along with two cultural heritage that is, the Chronicle Diponegoro from Java as well as Mak Yong from the Riau Islands," he said.
