JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - One of China's SOEs soon build a cement plant with a capacity of 2.5 billion tons of metrics in Manokwari, West Papua. Promised development completed within the next two years. However, about the value of the investment, West Papua Governor Abraham Octavianus Atururi can not mention.

This was disclosed by the Governor of West Papua, told reporters after attending a meeting in Vice President Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/01/2011).

Previously, Abraham claimed that Chinese investors who come accompanied by Deputy Minister for National Development Planning / Head of Bappenas Lukita D Tuwo. "When I asked, they were able to build a cement plant within two years if the permit and studies already completed," said Abraham.

According to Abraham, when West Papua has its own cement factory, the price of cement in the region no longer exorbitant price. "Imagine, in addition we have to wait for the supply of cement from Java, the price is one bag of USD 1 million," Abraham lamented.

Besides building a cement factory, said Abraham, in West Papua Steel Factory will also be built with the enormous potential of the mineral content and iron sand.
