JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo) waiting for concrete action Research In Motion Ltd. The six operators who work with RIM, PT Telekomunikasi Cellular (Telkomsel), PT Indosat Tbk, PT XL Axiata Tbk, PT Natrindo Cell Phones, PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications, and PT Smart Telecom.
But if that promise figment and RIM never make concrete steps, the government would shut down BlackBerry service Internet Serivice (BIS). Previously, Menkominfo ultimatum RIM to install pornography filtering software on the BlackBerry service in two weeks. The government will block if the BlackBerry Internet service until the date January 21, 2011 it is not done.
RIM said in a statement has expressed its commitment to comply with laws and regulations in Indonesia, including the request of the Government of Indonesia to filter pornographic content.
