HONG KONG - Revenue from gambling business in Macau, China reached USD23, 5 billion in which this figure reached a record high in 2010.

Quoted by AFP on Monday (01/03/2011), this figure was released according to official figures issued by the local government. Interestingly, these figures exceed the revenue gambling business in Las Vegas Strip approximately four-fold.

Macau's casino revenue increased 57.8 percent compared to 2009. The town is recorded as the biggest gambling center in the world is millions earnings largely thanks to a professional gambler who came to Macau in mainland China each year.

For your information, the Central Bureau of Statistics revealed when Macau casino in the country this former Portuguese colony made a profit of 188.3 billion Patacas or equivalent USD23, 5 billion in 2010 compared with the previous year which only amounted to 119.3 billion Patacas.

Macau is also a new record monthly gain in December to reach 18.88 billion Patacas, or approximately 66.4 percent higher than the same month in 2009.
