WASHINGTON - Microsoft Corp. department announced that the president of Server and Tools Business (STB), Robert Muglia, decided to resign from his post.
In a memo internal email to all Microsoft employees, CEO Steve Ballmer said that Muglia decided to go in the summer of 2011. Similarly, as quoted from the Real Time Traders, Tuesday (01/11/2011).
"Bob (Muglia close calls) has been the founder and chairman of our server business since the beginning of its formation. He has led the Developer Division, Office, and Mobile Devices us, and plays an important role in the business of Windows NT and our Online Services. I have been working with him for years, and I always appreciated his focus on the consumer, technical, leadership, and positive energy, "Ballmer said in a statement.
Ballmer also said Microsoft would seek new leadership for the division STB later. Muglia also has agreed to assist the candidate search.
Robert Muglia, has worked for 23 years at Microsoft, led the division since 1988 STB since January 2009. STB Division is one of three $ 15 billion worth of business at Microsoft, different business divisions with Windows and Office businesses.
