SAN FRANCISCO - Micro-blogging site Twitter to beat Facebook the won the award as the Startup / Best Product 2010 on the annual awards, Crunchies Awards.
This is the first time Twitter won the award in that category. This ceremony itself was held every year, since January 2008, to give awards to sites and the best applications in each category.
In addition to being the Startup / Best Product, Twitter also ranked second in the category of Best Social Application. Twitter defeated Dailybooth photo blog site.
Meanwhile, brand-new social networking site, Quora, won top honors in categories Startup / Best New Product 2010.
