A website of local secondary school in Singapore is likely to be victims of hackers and replaced by a porn site.
SINGAPORE - A local high school website in Singapore is likely to be victims of hackers and replaced by a porn site.
Singaporean Originally named Stomper John, is looking for school children who enter secondary school next year, and he was visiting the Middle School website for more information Junyuan on Wednesday after a recommendation from friends that it is a good school.
But he was surprised after the entry into www.junyuansec.net, a porn site instead greeted him. He said the site has been infiltrated by hackers and replaced by a porn site.
'What surprised me more is that schools do not do anything and let it stay like this, "he said, as reported by the Straits Times, Friday (11/02/2011).
"It happened like this all night and I hope that schools will do something about it quickly, because it would damage the reputation of the school," he added.
The school principal Junyuan, Lee Yong Lai, said in an email statement that their website has been suspended earlier this month, and that is no longer the school website.
"We are working with our vendors to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. At present we are currently moving to new web address, which will be ready by the end of this month," he said.
