ComScore reported that Canada has the largest Internet access penetration rate, with approximately 68 percent of Canadians who regularly surf the internet, compared with the number 62 percent owned by France and Britain.
Following behind these three countries were Germany with the acquisition rate 60 percent, 59 percent owned by American and 36 percent owned by Italian acquisition. Similarly, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday (30/12/2010).
Canadians are avid Internet now spend 42 hours a month to browse the internet, up from 40 hours previously in 2009. They are also in a month to watch 147 videos on YouTube and from other online video websites, such as Vimeo, Metacafe, DailyMotion, and others.
Approximately 17 million Canadians, or 51 percent of the population, has a Facebook account. Although the internet connection is quite good in Canada, Canada still lags behind the U.S. for business 'smart TV'. For example, until now entering a new Netflix in Canada.
