Cuban started his first online service to launch a similar site encyclopaedia Wikipedia. The goal is to bring real history to the world.
LONDON - Cuba begin service by launching its first online encyclopedia site similar to Wikipedia. The goal is to bring real history to the world.
Site encyclopedias Cuban named EcuRed (Enciclopedia Cubana) and will be officially launched soon. EcuRed ready presented with approximately 19,345 entries completed article. Unfortunately, unlike Wikipedia, articles EcuRed though made by the readers but to publish the article still must get approval from the admins directly.
"This site is developed to create and spread all the information for everyone, both visitors to the site from Cuba and the world," wrote the admin in that site, as quoted by the Telegraph on Wednesday (15/12/2010).
Most EcuRed article contains about the relationship between Cuba and the United States, as well as several other countries. In addition, many articles about the biography of former Cuban leaders, including Fidel Castro and the leader now, brother Fidel, Raul Castro.
Unfortunately EcuRed not view the article about the development of economic reforms in the country, both at the leadership of Fidel and Raul Castro's time in power.
According to Cuban government figures, earlier this year there are approximately 1.6 million citizens of Cuba, of the total 11.2 million population, have access to the internet.
