SIDNEY - A number of members of parliament of New South Wales known to frequently access pornographic sites. Worse yet are the sites that are accessed child pornography sites.
At least nine computers that are known in the state parliament and there are recording a porn site address is never accessed by these politicians.
"Nine web sites have been identified and when accessed will show sexually explicit images of young people who are under age," said parliament spokesman, Richard Torbay as reported by AAP on Thursday (02/12/2010).
Child pornography is of special concern to the government of New South Wales, Australia. As is known in September last, Paul McLeay, a marine affairs minister who is also a member of parliament of New South Wales was forced to resign from office because of cases access pornographic websites.
The report mentions that from 72 most popular sites accessed on a computer parliament during the period of 10 months, 35 sites are adult sites.
However, Torbay did not name the lawmakers or staff of the owner of the computer used to access porn sites.
"If people are portrayed in the pictures found are below the age of 18, then the politicians will be caught in sanctions for violating the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW)," Torbay said.
