MySpace and Google returned the agreement to expand cooperation in the field of search engine and advertising.



CALIFORNIA - MySpace and Google returned the agreement to expand cooperation in the field of search engine and advertising.

In teh agreement later Google will continue to assist the search and advertising features as well as providing display advertising services for improving the experience entertainment content on MySpace.

"We are pleased to renew a deal with Google. They are the best in class technology. Later they will continue to provide powerful search experience to our customers,"said Nada Stirratt, Chief Revenue Officer of MySpace, as reported by Reuters on Saturday (12/18/2010 .)

MySpace was acquired by News Corp. in 2005 for USD 580 million. Then in 2006, Google signed a USD 900 million deal to sell ads that relate to a user's search on MySpace and other small things on the site News Corp. for three years.

The agreement the two had ended in June 2010, and will be extended in order to face challenges from competitors such as Facebook.
