Malaysia Country Manager of Google's new Sivanda Sajith said their new office will help the company more effective in bringing web services to users, including the advertisers and their partners in Malaysaia.

Google's presence in Malaysia is of course welcomed by the governments of Malaysia, especially to encourage the investment climate in the country well.

We hope that Google's entry will encourage more local companies for business online and enter the international market," Vice Minister of Malaysia expressly for International Trade and Industry, YB Dato 'Mukhriz Mahathir.
"We are very pleased to establish new operations in Kuala Lumpur, where we can draw from the highest quality local talent to better help users find information they seek, and at the same time, Malaysia managed to help businesses," explained Google Southeast Asia Managing Director, Julian Persaud.
"We are excited to invest in Malaysia and through search and display solutions, helping small and large businesses grow, expand into new markets and contribute to economic growth. We also have close contact with local users and keep hoping to interact more closely," he said.
