NEW YORK - Google proves the company has advanced. Recently the world's largest Internet company that bought a new building in New York.
Google bought a new building with 18 floors at 111 Eighth Avenue address. This building will become the new workplace for the estimated 2,000 employees in the city.
Launched by the Straits Times, Thursday (12/23/2010), Google itself does not provide detailed information about the new building prices. But the New York Post says if the price of the building ranges from USD1.77 billion. If coupled with tax and other fees the total price of the new building was reached USD1, 9 billion.
"Google Office first, in 2000, held at Starbucks, with only helped one employee. Today we have 2,000 employees with a variety of projects, both in sales and technician. We're also hiring outside this country," said Google vice president of real estate and workplace services, David Radcliffe.
"Today we are proud to announce that the company has agreed to cooperate with Taconic Investment Partners, Jamestown Properties and New York State Common Retirement Fund to purchase the building at 111 Eighth Avenue," he said.
