As children of the nation, my joy may be exactly what the President feels in enjoying the success of our national football team through the AFF Suzuki Cup final. Surely no one community in the country that are not happy with the success of the Word Utina and friends engulfed Malaysia, Laos, Thailand and the Philippines at the stadium our pride, Bung Karno.
Despite the success, perhaps we need a little look back just staring at the same time correct again: What we really deserved drowning in euphoria is so great, and perhaps redundant, although we have not won favorite team? The following question: If any winner, whether we deserve complacent?
As one senior journalist who engaged in football coverage for about 26 years, I see we are like a "new nation soccer literate." In fact, PSSI we stand in 1930 and since 1952 has been a member of FIFA.
In the very ripe age that, we deserved it no longer "playing achievements" at the regional level (ASEAN). AFF Cup and SEA Games is not the appropriate arena to demonstrate the achievements of our football. We are pantasnya exist in Asia and the world group.
I tried a little nostalgia. In 1985, our national team coach who handled Sinyo Aliandoe and strengthened, inter alia, Herry Kiswanto, Rully Neere, Zulkarnain Lubis, and goalkeeper Hermansyah, became champion of the Sub-Group IIIB Asia. At that time, a step into the World Cup in Mexico 1986.

We have the resources (read: players) that qualified as well as community and national team football lovers. However, we do not have a board (PSSI) is a professional, capable, honest, work transparently, and loyal. Who is on PSSI only group of people who "trade", memolitisasi (political) football and the only rhetoric, but was unable to do anything that prides our football.
Total repair
Today, let us all enjoy the excitement of the national team's success. However, do not let this excitement we cover all PSSI failure in the last decade. It's no secret that the PSSI has failed and there must be total improvement.
As a senior journalist who has been involved in coverage in the four management PSSI (Kardono, Azwar Anas, Agum Gumelar, and Nurdin Halid), I beg you Mr. President to be more directly involved to fix the distorted-chaos that occurred in the PSSI.
National Football Congress (KSN) in Malang, East Java, March 2010, which was initiated by Mr. President to spawn a major change in football, it does NOT produce anything! Until this moment, PSSI was not running their obligations in Seven Minutes Recommendation KSN. The first point recommendation, the PSSI should immediately reform and restructuring, not ignored.
PSSI conducted after KSN Malang is blowing "the winds of heaven" to all components and national soccer community. The promises of sweet fruit continues diembuskan PSSI poison. Board makes PSSI as a "little kingdom" belongs to them and there should be no one else to interfere, even though the President. For them, the president is Sepp Blatter.
As a national soccer organization recognized by the government (because it is required to FIFA), PSSI can not stand freely without regard to government instructions. Therefore, in this case, the government deserves to correct PSSI.
Back to the matter of Malang KSN Recommendation: Have PSSI to reform itself and restructure? If not, and probably will never, if this is not a defiance of the instructions of President?
In the play the Indonesian Super League and Division President, PSSI using government funds through the Regional Budget (APBD) via the club. In accordance spirit of professionalism that brought FIFA, all professional competitions in each country should not be or are prohibited from using government funds.
By PSSI, competition LSI (Indonesia Super League) and the Main Division is allowed to use funds from the budget and in accordance Kemendagri, budget funds should only be used for infrastructure development and coaching amateur football. However, since 2005, funds from the budget (Budget Regional Budget Expenditure) used a professional club.
For that, as children of the nation is concerned, I beg you Mr. President to immediately stop the use of budget funds by the 18 clubs LSI plus 36 Main Division club. By assumption, every club LSI receive Rp 20 billion and the Main Division club Rp 10 billion, means that every year they spend Rp 720 billion.
In fact, if the number is allocated on target to build the infrastructure and coaching young players, it is definitely in a period of five to 10 years in the future we have a magnificent stadium and not counted how many quality players who can be relied upon for the national team, without the need menaturalisasi.
Hopefully a follow-up Mr. President over this open letter drop of water can be cool in the thirst of victory and look to the future success of the national team .... Indonesia Bravo!
