Head of Research and Development of the Ministry of Agriculture (Research and Kementan) Dr Haryono said after a meeting 12 times, the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) through its resolution 3 / 2001 and formed The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) or the International Treaty of Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (IT-SDGTPP).
"Until 2009, as many as 121 countries and the European Community had ratified the agreement. All member countries have committed to enter SDGTPP into the multilateral system and the parties can access the system," he explained when accompanied by Dr Shakeel Bhatti, secretary ITPGRFA FAO and Dr. Mulya Karden , Head of Research Center for Agricultural Biotechnology and center in the Agricultural Research and Development Building, Jakarta, Monday (12/13/2010).
Haryono said, ITPGRFA already three times to hold a hearing. First in Spain, followed by Rome and Tunisia. Now for the fourth session, Indonesia was given the trust of the host.

Varieties were divided into three of them are irrigated with Impari name, then associated with swamps, namely Impara, and dry land is called Impago. "To Impari there are 13 varieties, including Impari-13 pest-resistant plant hopper," he said.
Meanwhile, Dr Shakeel Bhatti said that while Indonesia had become a member ITPGRFA, but this nation has shown the seriousness and commitment in utilizing center in. "Therefore, Indonesia is believed to be the host ITPGRFA," he said.
